The Dead Day is celebrated on the first Saturday in November in the mythical Hollywood Forever cemetery where are buried moult stars, from Judy Garland to Jayne Mansfield. For the occasion, the cemetery has Mexican colors and the costume crowd rushes on the grass to observe the stars and attend concerts and performances of theater and aztec ritual dance. The nail of the day is the Mexican altar decoration contest. Mexican cuisine served on the spot.
