Heal the Bay Aquarium
Aquarium featuring a variety of marine animals, with educational programs to introduce visitors to oceanography, and the possibility of adopting one
While not as good as the one in Long Beach, this aquarium can be an interesting visit for children. Fish, crabs, sea urchins, snails, sea cucumbers, octopuses, lobsters, sharks... With over 100 local species, Heal the Bay runs educational programs to introduce visitors to oceanography. You can also "adopt" an animal in exchange for free visits all year round. Bonus: the aquarium is run by a non-profit environmental organization dedicated to protecting the coast.
