PIERCE BROTHERS WESTWOOD VILLAGE MEMORIAL PARK
A beautiful wooded and flowery park with graves of many celebrities including Marilyn Monroe and Billy Wilder in Los Angeles.
Opened in 1905 by the State of California as Sunset Cemetery, it housed burials dating from the 1880s. In 1926, the cemetery was renamed Westwood Memorial Park. Just behind the very noisy Wilshire Boulevard, it is a beautiful park with trees and flowers of almost 1 hectare which houses the graves of many celebrities. Among them are Marilyn Monroe, Billy Wilder, John Cassavetes, Truman Capote, Dean Martin, Natalie Wood, and Walter Matthau.
