Historic movie theater with an IMAX theater, one of the major neighborhood landmarks in Los Angeles.

Recognizable from afar with its impressive pagoda, this cinema is one of the district's major points of interest. To mark its inauguration after its construction in 1927, the owner is said to have asked the stars of the day to put their feet and hands in the cement; their footprints are still visible today. In 2013, the establishment teamed up with electronics specialist TCL, resulting in a name change and the addition of an IMAX theater. Seeing a film in one of these theaters is an unforgettable experience.

un arrêt obligatoire sur le walk of fame ! Le bâtiment est très original (une pagode très colorée, encore plus belle de nuit). Difficile de s’approcher car c’est noir de monde... Chacun veut repérer les empreintes de ses stars préférées qui se trouvent juste devant le théâtre. Tout un symbole !

Access wasn't easy, technicians were preparing an event, but that was worth exploring this Chinese theatre and especially to go and search prints hand and foot stars although many were masked with our visit
