Museum housing emblematic pieces of the representatives of pop art, from Andy Warhol to Roy Lichtenstein through Ed Ruscha.

We owe this museum opened in 2015 to billionaire patron Eli Broad: the building alone is a work of art. It features iconic pieces by representatives of pop art, from Andy Warhol to Roy Lichtenstein to Ed Ruscha. Also on the program: Cindy Sherman's post-modern photographs, Jeff Koons' neo-pop sculptures, Keith Haring's and Jean-Michel Basquiat's underground New York paintings, Takashi Murakami's colorful deliriums, and El Anatsui's monumental sculptures made of recycled metal. Absolutely unmissable.

Cette fondation qui offre un vrai panorama de l'art actuel dans un cadre dépouillé réconciliera tout le monde avec l'art contemporain. C'est agréable, clair voire ludique. A elle seule elle motive une grande après midi à Downtown qui a vraiment retrouvé beaucoup de dynamisme et d'attractivité.

Si vous ne devez faire qu'un musée à LA, optez pour celui-ci, la collection est exceptionnelle et de Koons à Lichtenstein en passant par Warhol, vous déambulez parmi les plus importantes pièces de ces 50 dernières année. Un gros plus oour l'oeuvre de Kusama au RDC. Je recommande fortement.
