CRAFT AND FOLK ART MUSEUM
The Craft and Folk Art Museum opened its doors in 1974, where the Egg and the Eye Café was an expensive coffee shop. The place was held by the founder of CAFAM, Edith R. Wyle, an indigenous art enthusiast. In a city as multi-ethnic as L.A., this museum plays an important role in promoting openness to foreign cultures. The exhibitions cover both modern Iran and healing practices in ancient cults or the fusion of Latin Asian cultures. The whole place is animated and designed to stimulate reflection and dialog of cultures.
