MILDRED E. MATHIAS BOTANICAL GARDEN
This garden is a true living museum that houses the variety of California flora
These more than 4,000 tropical plants spread over a 3 hectare site are intended for the botanical education of UCLA students as well as for scientific research conducted on campus. The reason: the many rare varieties that grow in this veritable living museum. Created in 1929 - in the early days of the famous Westwood campus - this garden is an idyllic place, cut off from the world, where all the variety of Californian flora is concentrated.
