AVENUE 50 STUDIO
In 2000, local artists came together to create a space to exhibit their work and share it with the community. Avenue 50 Studio was then created and became the first non-profit art gallery under the leadership of Kathy Gallegos, an artist of Cuban-Portuguese origin. The gallery has since expanded and has an annex down the street. Artists with an established reputation are exhibited in the main gallery, while the annex is reserved for emerging artists. A third space opened in 2014, dedicated exclusively to the Chicano community. Workshops and meetings with artists are regularly organized.
