PASADENA CITY HALL
A remarkable Italian Renaissance-inspired building with dome, ornate fountain and lush courtyard in Pasadena.
The dome of Pasadena's City Hall surprises with its unexpected architecture, which actually condenses all of the region's Mediterranean heritage. Built in 1927, the building is inspired by the Italian Renaissance and has Spanish influences, with its red tile roof, ornate fountain and lush courtyard. Its east side is a one-story arcade, while the other three are three stories high; the whole is superb. A large square faces it, on which it is not uncommon to see future brides and grooms and their guests passing.
