An experience not to be missed in the mountains of Santa Ynez. Rancho Oso takes you back to the heart of the Far West with a typical beach rush from the gold rush or accommodation in an authentic tipi! Don't miss one of the many proposed activities, especially horse riding, or barbecue under the stars every Saturday evenings. A real change, far from the modern world and a playful way of waking up in the past Californian.

I don't know how this place is still open, but by the looks of it and all the staff layoffs it won't be for long. The cottages are filthy, spiderwebs, cobwebs and dead flies in all the windowsills. Rotting and collapsing decks. The facilities have gotten more and more run down over the years. There's literally nothing to do but sweat in the 100+ degree weather and swat flies away. Only neat things are the wild turkeys that will wander up to you.

Our RV was severely damaged due to this site’s gross negligence with electrical problems. Rude and dismissive staff required repeated escalations to regional leadership to reach a resolution. Strongly caution against using utilities at this campground, and any/all Thousand Trails neglected & derelict facilities.

Nice big quiet beautiful Thousand Trails campground. About 1/2 hour from Solvang and Santa Barbara.

Laundry facilities are outside and require quarters. Staff are not helpful in helping you obtain quarters. No change machine on site.

Horrible cell and WiFi.

Nice scenery and setting. Lots of barnyard animals. Friendly staff.

Be Aware: (Men at Work ???? reference…)If you’re 6’ 4” and full of muscle, like me, you can’t ride the horses ????. There’s a weight limit.

Thus is our 3rd trip here after becoming members of the Thousand Trails group. We love this campground . Everyone is friendly and the park is well kept. The pools could use a little more cleaning but it's hard to keep up because they are busy. Over all my family and I plan on coming back.
