An experience not to be missed in the mountains of Santa Ynez. Rancho Oso takes you back to the heart of the Far West with a typical beach rush from the gold rush or accommodation in an authentic tipi! Don't miss one of the many proposed activities, especially horse riding, or barbecue under the stars every Saturday evenings. A real change, far from the modern world and a playful way of waking up in the past Californian.

Too hot and intense sun exposure all day for the RVs. Our AC could not keep up. A little too remote and doing anything at all requires a far drive.
Scenery and mountains are beautiful. The remote location can be a positive thing too if that’s what you’re looking for.

Zero cell service and wifi point in lodge is borderline unusable.

We stayed here for a weekend our cabin was dirty and smelly. The employees are never at work and no one answers phones. We wanted to book a horse ride for our kids and we went early Saturday morning and of course no one was there so we left our number for them to call us which no one ever did when I called to book Corey a female answered and said they only had room for 2 kids when I asked if I could talk to a manager because they told us they’d call us to book our whole party she said “ oh never mind weee booked” she did it in retaliation because I was going to complain. Then I talked to laura who also said there’s nothing they can do. We will never come back here, everything beee is grossly dirty even the pools
