By far the best pancakes I’ve ever had in my entire life. Everything at this place was fantastic from the cappuccino, to the salad, the chicken, the fruit, pancakes, maple syrup, everything tasted so fresh. I can’t wait to come back here.

I came with my two young boys and the service would not have been worse. In fact my waitress is probably to blame.
Firstly, it took a WHILE for the server to take my order (understandable). Once she arrived, she quickly took my order and took off without asking if we wanted something to drink. When the food arrived, it did not for one of my boys. Eventually, after I asked two other servers for my kid’s food, our server arrived and said I didn’t order anything for my boy (why wouldn’t I ????). I reminded her of his order and she took off again. I then had to ask another server to bring drinks for the boys. Our waitress eventually came back to place my to-go order on the table with no utensils/condiments. She took my credit card and left. After waiting for some time, I got up to request ketchup and paid at the cashier’s booth. I gave a 10% tip, which was at that point generous given the unfortunate poor experience I had. I felt invisible with my two boys there.
The food and atmosphere were good, but the service really matters, especially in a place that has great reviews.

The service was great and the atmosphere was average. Still is a nice place to have breakfast just stay away from the Benedict eggs, these were the worst I ever had. The eggs were totally cooked!! And the hollandaise sauce was totally plain. To be fair the potatoes were good. They only have two restrooms so sometimes there is a long line if you need to use them.

Very beautiful place to eat when visiting Solvang. (It was my first time at Paula’s and everything and everyone was great). Our waiter was very sweat and kind, and delicious food. I personally had the buttermilk pancake combo with 2 slices of sausage a slice of cinnamon apple/ orange and scrambled eggs, with an additional add-in of a lemonade. I highly recommend this place if you come to Solvang, Ca.

Place looks very quaint, but needs improvement in service and food. Coffee tasted burnt, hair on my eggs and sirloin tasted too gamey. Pass and try elsewhere.

My Mom and I visited Solvang for the first time and was drawn to this quaint place. It is right across from the public parking. The split pea soup is delicious. Our server Jazmine T. was the right amount of tentative.

Wonderful place to have traditional breakfast! Long line but worthy, we love it!

I was here in Solvang last here and got a danish omelette and that and the hash-browns that came with it were amazing. Friendly staff and the food came out in a timely manner. I got the veggie omelette this time and all that i previously said still apply! I swear at this point I'll keep coming back for breakfast every time i'm in town.

Went there for brunch while visiting Solvang and felt it was worth waiting for a table for an hour. The strawberry milkshake and Paula's pancakes are an absolute must try. The veg capers sandwich is good too.

Amazing place to come for breakfast in Solvang. They have eggs, pancakes, and waffles. Great food, great service, and right in the middle of town.

The Danish pancakes are absolutely delicious! They aren't thick and heavy like regular pancakes, but they are super filling. Service was quick and friendly!

Veggie omelette- solid veggie omelette consisting of spinach, mushroom, and sautéed onion w/ California Jack cheese
Paula’s special- danish pancakes with blueberries, whipped cream and maple syrup. Was my first time having danish pancakes and won’t be my last! Don’t have anything to compare to, but these were essentially a hybrid between a crepe and a pancake, just fluffy enough and tin enough with good amount of sweetness that paired well with the blueberries and maple syrup, with the whipped cream really helping to balance all that sweetness out
Waits can get real long so highly suggest give enough buffer for what you’re trying to eat!

Very average - think Denny's - breakfast place. Used to be good decades ago. Pancakes had funky grill taste. Lattes are out of a machine you find in car service waiting rooms. Also health department issues. Lemonade poured out of old plastic syrup containers. Ice machine cover left open all day allowing skin cells and other debris. Very expensive.

Paula’s Pancakes House has become well known at Solvang to be a breakfast spot to try their famous Paula’s Pancakes. In my opinion, It’s just been overrated and overpriced.

Came during the holiday season and over Sunday brunch, there was quite a long line right outside the door, but it moved quickly. We were able to get seated inside within 15 min.s. Option for counter or outdoor seating to speed up the wait.
Food tastes great! Was my first time trying danish pancakes, can’t speak to its authenticity, but tasted nice! Not overly sweet or greasy, pretty airy actually! Tho choose berry toppings might be better than the cinnamon apples, for a more refreshing taste, and will look more appetizing. The eggs Benedict were well executed too!
