Arrived on 3/18 and set to check out 3/20 but left 3/19 to another hotel where the cost per night was cheaper and accommodations much nicer. Would've left way earlier on 3/18, but we were trying to "trouper through", but I personally reached my fill around 1am when I wasn't unable to sleep due to being so uncomfortable. Unfortunately it left us in a tough spot as finding accommodations that time of the night would be impossible so we were forced to stay. Sleep what’s that because I didn’t get any at all due to an impossible to turn off bright light shinning into the room actually all around the property as there was no one on site at all.
I was extremely unhappy with the stay at the rendezvous I will never go back. I’ve used the text system and emailed the hotel for a refund and I’ve had zero response. So not only was i stuck with paying for a hotel I didn’t exactly stay in but no apologies from the hotel at all whatsoever. The positive reviews of how the hotel is now are complete false advertisement it’s actually down right catfishing. Below I will list major issues I had with the conditions of the Rendezvous.
Issues are as follows:
• A text system to “check you in” rather than an actual person. There was no staff on sight at all
• Strong bleach smell upon entering the room (Room #8 the “Silver Screen” Room) The bleach smell remained throughout the entire stay even with all the windows being opened and numerous sprays of perfume and room spray to try and mask the smell. Sadly all throughout the night the smell persisted and actually ended up giving me a headache.
• Stained and dirty towels hung up as new in the bathrooms
• Blanket on bed had multiple mystery stains as well.
• The light in the bathroom was so dim and horrible I could hardly get ready that night for dinner
• Overall, the hotel is run down and very unkept.
•sign in front is falling apart and down
• paint is peeling off in areas all over the hotel with lots of random unpleasant smells. Falling paint in an old establishment is actually a health hazard as much of the old paint in the past contained led and asbestos
• Found bits of fried chicken within the lounge chairs by the pool which were already covered with stains and dirt
• The Jacuzzi was dirty and water was cloudy and made me itchy. After dinner I had put my feet in water but it being dark I was fully unaware of what I actually put my feet into until the next morning. I was utterly disgusted when I saw what I had my feet in the night prior
• The lights outside of the room and all around the property were on all night we couldn't sleep, so at 1 am I walked around the property to see if I could turn it off myself but there was no luck.
• Left sink in bathroom drained slowly and clogged
• Shower water slow to get hot
• Clubhouse areas with many dirt spots and dangerous broken glass slider.
• overheard a convo about the cleaning people being angry they weren’t being paid on time and had to front cost to clean the hotel. Well I don’t even blame the cleaning people for not following any real cleaning standards because not being paid by a “hotel” contracting you to do so and they don’t or not on time is unacceptable.
