Billy the bar tender is the man. Was great with service and recommendations. Absolutely beautiful hotel and some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. Would highly recommend the new poolside bungalows.

From check in with Deana (so sorry if I spelled this incorrectly), to Elizabeth at the spa. Every staff interaction was damn near perfect. Special shout out to Marcos, Katie and Wendy! Omar, Priscila, and more. I tried to get everyone's names memorized because each and every one of you made this such a memorable trip.

The food? Outstanding. A lot of higher-end locations like this tend to inflate menu descriptions with culinary jargon to sound more interesting than they really are, but the food options are legitimately delicious, thoughtfully sourced, and presented well. The drink options. THE DRINK OPTIONS. Marcos, MY MAN - you are some kind of mixology wizard with a good heart. Katie and Wendy you both are so sweet. Everyone I've mentioned needs some kind of special recognition from management; a raise, a high five, a new BMW, SOMETHING.

In regards to the accommodations themselves: exceptional. I booked through AMEX and was provided a complimentary upgrade to what I feel was the best bungalow for my specific stay. The room is well appointed and clean, the housekeeping staff are super attentive and neat. The turn down service staff (I'm sorry I never got your names!) are so kind. The small details from the moment you arrive to the time you leave show a level of intent you really don't find in many places at all these days.

I could have chosen closer accommodations as I was visiting Thermal Club for a few track days. I'm glad I didn't. I'll be back to Thermal some time soon for more track time and you damn well better believe I'm returning to Horizon because of the superlative experience I had on this trip. Thanks again everyone. (Hi Katie!)

Pros:
- Beautiful landscaping and architecture.
- Decent restaurant.

Cons:
- Mandatory valet parking at $35 a day. There is no need for valet. They park your car ten feet from where you pull in. The lot was also empty, which makes paying for parking even more ridiculous.
- Poor service. While everyone was professional, we ordered breakfast the night before to arrive at 815am. By 845am, our food had yet to arrive, and we were informed the order was on its way. By 905am, we canceled the order because it never showed up.
- Noise. Starting at 8 am, you'll hear loud club music with solid bass piercing your bungalow. The insane part is there was no one at the pool or bar, yet they still think its a good idea to blast music so early in the AM.
- Price. At $750 a night, you're still hit with an additional $45 resort fee every night. This is on top of the mandatory daily valet of $35 a night. Also, I wouldn't call this hotel a resort by any stretch.
Overall:
Very disappointed. My wife and I will never stay at or recommend a Hermann property.

Overall we have a mixed review during our recent stay. The property and pool area (stunning) were very nice and service was generally good but way overpriced with some surprising flaws.

The phone system and iPad to access guest services were not working, often impossible to get through to the front desk. There was no garbage container in the room (even after we requested this) and the pool bar area was not fully staffed during operating hours. The parking area is tiny and you are forced to use their valet parking. It is also difficult to find the property at night as the hotel name is barely lit.

The food was very good but overpriced. They charge you for every incidental including bottled water.

Overall it is a nice hotel but way overpriced with some serious operational flaws.

Dog friendly. Very clean all the time. Quiet. Service was perfect. My favorite part was that they use le labo product which is my favorite. We went here for our anniversary trip and we had a perfect time :) We will definitely go back!

Loved everything about this resort. The service was consistently great, the food and beverage really high quality as was the room and facilities. Location of the resort was great for me. Easy to get to everything with a short Uber ride and also great restaurants in walking distance. Highly recommend. Will be back for sure.

It breaks my heart to have to write this review. This was my oasis for many years and multiple times a year...but there's only so much you can handle from management especially for the premium you pay at this hotel vs the rest of palm springs, that makes it no longer worth it. If you are paying $1,500 per night (with taxes and fees) you expect to get a CLEAN room free of former guests' hair and cotton swabs...you also expect management to be kind, not robots. After staying at the Hermann suites for my 4th time (and on the property for the 8th time) I am making the decision to switch hotels during my stay (skipping a night) because management just doesn't get what good service means and is happy to say goodbye to you.

The first time I stayed at the Hermann suites was when they first opened, I took the biggest suite they had with a jacuzzi in the back. Guess what? The jacuzzi was SO dirty I didn't even attempt to touch it. I love this property so much, I said nothing.

The staff on property is very friendly, but there has not been even one instance I've stayed here where either something wasn't broken in the room or was not clean. This time around beyond a leaking shower and someone else's hair by my bed that even made the house keeping staff disturbed to even take a picture, the walls are so thin I had the privilege of hearing my neighbor have extremely loud sex. I have unfortunately reached my end here.

For the first time ever, because I am upset, I looked at my itemized bill (and you better believe no one orders more bottles than I do here). By doing so, I found out that I was being overcharged $85 (besides this I was offered $100 off but I refused it because of principle, you can't continually mess up and win me over with money). Imagine if I had looked more closely when I had stayed other times..Gd knows how many more "mistakes" there's been.

I am going to another property tomorrow which is 1/3rd of the price, so even if I get the same situation at least I know I'm not paying premium prices as I am here. On top of everything, their food sucks.

There's a reason why everyone I have met here is here for the first time instead of repeat guests like myself...I guess I am the moron. Never again.

Great for couples. Adult only and pool open 24/7. Exceptional and very personable service. Definitely unique.

I wanted to amend my review and add some more particular information. We had an exceptional meal experience. Kelly was very attentive and engaging and you could tell he was invested in the quality of service that we received. I would like to note that this investment was a theme that we noticed throughout our stay, and have also noticed while staying at the other Hermann property, Colony Palms, a few months ago. We had a minor concern about our room as it was facing the pool and we prefer privacy. Contessa gave us the option of choosing from a couple other available rooms, and ended up upgrading us to address our concerns. There was no obligation to do so, but our concern was taken very seriously and was addressed promptly. We were very pleased and grateful. Matt was the valet throughout our stay, and he also went above and beyond in many ways to ensure that our experience was exceptional. There are not enough hotels that care about customer experience the way that they do here.

Beautiful spot!

Rooms are clean, bright and well designed. The service is next level in this place, like if you were in a palace hotel in Europe. All the team was so attentive, lovely and extremely pro.

Thank you

Can’t recommend this place enough! Second time visiting and just as impressed as ever! Shoutout to Ahmed, Omar, Rachel, David and Donai for the incredible service they provided! Truly made our stay a 5-star experience!

Beautiful property with all the amenities you need (including Le Labo toiletries!) and courteous, helpful staff who helped us with all our needs and explained the history of the property. Also liked that the pool was open 24 hours.

Service on food can be a bit slow and the towels (especially poolside) are a bit stained/dirty, probably from being left out all day. The wifi is also a little patchy.

One would never suspect how charming this luxury boutique is from Hwy 111. In fact, the tall hedges along the highway are both a sound and privacy wall.

The old Hollywood feel has been beautifully retained on this expansive, well-landscape grounds.

Then walk through a gate, and you are in a world of contemporary bungalows offering an entire feel and stunning view of the mountains.

Restaurant on site and the staff is fabulous with no request too big.

A world of quiet and luxury awaits you
