PIONEERTOWN MOTEL * *
A charming hotel with beautiful rooms in a historic setting in Pioneertown, just steps from Pappy & Harriet's.
A real favorite! The former dressing rooms of the greatest western actors, including Gene Autry and John Wayne, have been transformed into a hotel in Pioneertown, a former film set transformed into a village. Not only does the place - a wooden house in the middle of the desert - have a crazy charm, but the rooms are decorated with great taste and a modern sobriety that contrasts with the Amerindian rugs and plaids and the rustic beauty of the wood. The equipment is basic, but the rooms are air-conditioned and wifi is working. A stone's throw away is Pappy & Harriet's, a formidable restaurant-concert hall run by the entire local bohemian and even by L.A. artists
