The atmosphere of the restaurant is cute, cozy and well Italian themed. The host that greeted me was very nice and friendly.
My server, Veronica, was the ONLY waitress working the entire room. They had more bussers and food deliverers. She tried her best to keep up with ALL the customers needs.
Although it was very apparent that she catered more to the REGULARS who came in that night. And was EXTRA nice and friendly toward them.
The highlight was David, the piano player. Super friendly and extremely talented! It's worth going just to listen to his music, maybe have an appetizer and a drink or two. His genre is very diverse... from Journey, to Sinatra., Dean Martin, Celine Dion, Chicago, Billy Joel, Elton John, Burt Bacharach , and Phantom of the Opera, to name a few. Kudos to him for creating the ambiance. Grazie David!
One thing that really messed with me was their entire lack of windows, making it feel pretty small and closed-in. But their staff was fantastic, super friendly and helpful. They were willing to go above and beyond for all of our needs.
Good food, attentive service. Large choice of entrées. The Halibut special was excellent.
The pianist, right next to our table, not only played too loudly for a small room (This was a $225 meal for four in an otherwise quiet room, not a concert), but his attempts at improv, if that's what they were, failed, and he clearly does not know how to read music -- or doesn't practice. We all prefer dinner music to be less intrusive, not the center of attention. I don't believe moving tables would have helped.
We asked the server to have him play more quietly, but he didn't. Having to speak loudly to be heard does not help conversation.
There was only one other table seated during our visit.
I was stationed in Italy and the food brought me back. Menu is laid out like how it should be. 1st plate (pastas) are separated from the meat (2nd plate).
