This institution opened in 1967 by a couple of locals serves typical breakfasts, which can be enjoyed outside or in a room with walls saturated with small frames organized around a surfboard. Besides pancakes, omelets, eggs Benedict, toast and egg and meat plates, there are the house specialties. The most popular, Michele - named after the owner, who is also the founders' daughter - is grilled chicken breast served with scrambled eggs, peppers and tomatoes.

Would highly recommend stopping by this joint for breakfast while in Huntington Beach.

Sitting outside on a cold January day was wonderful. My friends and I all ate an omelet. We all got the vegetarian one and added bacon. Superb breakfast made as we asked. GREAT wait staff, knowledge and friendly.

Awesome beach vibe place that opens early enough to beat the crowd and still catch an early morning surf sesh. Thanks!!!

Two stars for mediocre food selections, portions and high prices. For as much as I love the people behind our city's beloved Sugar Shack and those who work there every day, I am reluctant to leave a low review, but it needs to be stated that there are far better places to eat on main street where paying a premium price will get you far better food selections, portions for a more reasonable price. Finally, we were served waters with our meal in dirty cups. It looked like they were stained with OJ or something. Anyways, I don't think we will be returning.
