A small, intimate and trendy hotel, ideal for those who love to celebrate. The 23 rooms are decorated in a vintage style: furniture with round and advanced shapes, hanging fish jar, flat screen, design lamp. All rooms overlook the inner courtyard and its seawater pool. In the evening, film screenings are organized next to the swimming pool and the place turns into an outdoor cinema. Trend Address: You will enjoy its bar and restaurant where you can enjoy the very good atmosphere in the evening.

My 40th birthday bash at The Pearl Hotel in San Diego for 28 of my closest friends and family was an absolute blast. I can't stop raving about the unmatched hospitality from the staff, especially the General Manager, Anthony. He made sure every detail was perfect and our comfort was a top priority.
The hotel's chic retro vibes set the stage perfectly for our celebration. It was so easy to accommodate all our guests, and everything we needed was right at our fingertips. The restaurant was a standout—hands down, the best food! Happy hour from 4-6 was a highlight, and I can't recommend the Calamari and coconut shrimp enough. The short rib and burger were also incredible. And Roman, the bar manager, was a superstar, ensuring our drinks never ran dry. Also shout out to Carla, part of the night staff, was an absolute delight. Her attentiveness added that extra touch to an already incredible stay.
I have to give a huge shoutout to the entire staff. From the spacious and modern rooms (I stayed in the amazing Pearl Suite everything was top-notch. The patio with two chairs facing the pool was the cherry on top of an already fantastic experience.
The hotel's location was a dream—easy walks to charming coffee shops, delicious Mexican taco stands, and the marina. Plus, being just a five-minute drive from the airport made it super convenient, eliminating the need for a rental car. Getting to downtown and Little Italy via a short Uber ride was a breeze, and having Trader Joe's and other stores nearby made life even easier.
I can't wait to go back. Thank you, Pearl Hotel, for making my 40th birthday celebration one for the books!

Service was good, but I would not stay here again. The room smelled of mildew and mold was on the inside of the curtain. I didn’t put on the AC unit that also had a smell. So I slept with the windows open which is not ideal for a solo female traveller on the main level of the building. Pool was dirty. I’m not too picky but it was obvious the pool was coated in a layer of hair. No one swam in it the duration of my stay. I did not enjoy my stay here and would not recommend. Was also quite loud.

We stayed at The Pearl to celebrate our birthdays (they're a day apart) and had the absolute best time. The staff was great, bed was comfortable, the drinks at the bar were amazing and dinner by the pool with the bistro lights was so cozy. We loved having a cute little patio to have coffee on in the morning too. Such a fun boutique hotel vibe. Will definitely be sending my family to stay here when they come to town!

This hotel has a very boutique vibe and was extremely comfortable. We got the junior room and was satisfied with the design and coziness of the bed. Would definitely stay here again
Bartender was super rude. Said he was closing early.
