Establishment with red neon facades and comfortable rooms, connected by an aerial walkway to Main Street Station
Located slightly off the Fremont Street Experience, the California is hard to convince. However, the red neon of its facades lends a delightfully retro and aged air to this 1975 establishment, the first by the late Sam Boyd. Rooms are simple but large, comfortable and undated. There's also a small outdoor pool and four restaurants, including Redwood Steakhouse (dinner only). The establishment is linked by an aerial walkway to Main Street Station.
