Las Vegas hotel featuring a Shark Reef with approximately 2,000 aquatic animals, with a great Cirque du Soleil show
This hotel was sadly in the news in October 2017 as it was from one of its windows that Stephen Paddock opened fire on the crowd, killing 58 people, the worst mass killing the country has seen.
The Mandalay Bay is a massive tower, whose three wings appear to have been covered in gold. During its construction, it was realized that these wings, oriented in three different directions to the wind, did not move in the same way and created a distortion in the structure of the building. To remedy this problem, the architects installed hydraulic regulators in the foundations. The arrival at the hotel announces the exotic theme: a path lined with tropical plants, carefully lit at night. Vegetation also abounds inside the hotel, where a few waterfalls flow. At the Shark Reef, more than 6 million liters of water are home to about 2,000 aquatic animals, including several impressive species: giant turtles, moon jellyfish, sawfish, barracudas, piranhas... In addition, the establishment offers an excellent Cirque du Soleil show in tribute to Michael Jackson(Michael Jackson One) and the programming of its music hall House of Blues is to be followed. There are also several restaurants worth checking out, including the Citizens Kitchen & Bar, which offers great value for money. The Mandalay Bay is also home to one of the largest convention centers in the city.
