Absolutely superb road south of the lake separating in 2 sections with several breathtaking viewpoints.
From the south of the lake, the Scenic Drive leads to the Valley of Fire from its eastern entrance, 85 km north of Lake Mead Marina. It is divided into two sections: Lakeshore Road from Boulder City to Las Vegas Bay, then Northshore Road from Las Vegas Bay to Overton - this last part crossing the Mojave Desert, with several breathtaking viewpoints. An absolutely superb road, but with a significant cost: since you enter the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, you have to pay the same amount as if you came to enjoy the lake.
