Taking I-15 through the short stretch of Arizona that leads to St. George, on the Utah border, don't miss a stop at the truly magnificent Virgin River Gorge. The Cedar Pocket exit provides access to a picnic area. More generally, the Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area allows you to hike, observe wildlife and enjoy the river. You can discover the Paiute Wilderness (east of I-15) and the Beaver Dam Mountains Wilderness (west). A very pleasant stopover on the way to Utah's great parks.
