We did not stay here but had dinner. Loved the history and architecture of the building, inside and out. A must see if you in the area.

We can not comment on the rooms as we were only visiting daytime quests. We stopped by for a snack and a drink. Gorgeous place! Helpful friendly staff. Honourable mention to our lounge server, Andrew! Glorious gardens! Relaxed atmosphere.

A few more vegetation options for both the lounge menu and the main dining room would be a good shift.

Thank you for your hospitality!

This is a beautiful hotel in Death Valley, but the experience did not live up to the price. The bar at the pool somehow got a margarita wrong, the room did not sleep 3 like we booked, and the shuttle service took over 45 minutes to get us back to the hotel (we were the only ones waiting). The staff was somewhat helpful but not great.

This place was great! We got a Casita, which was one bedroom. It has two beds and a pullout. We got a golf cart with the Casita. Very quiet and amazing stargazing.

The Inn is a bit of a paradox. The original structure dates back to 1927. The rooms have been updated and were pleasant enough but the larger facility shows a bit of wear and needs more love. And the nightly price is a bit excessive. But as typical of these grand National Parks, there are limited options.
I found it humorous when the front desk referred to their dining room as Fine Dining. Having eaten at other Xanterra run facilities; I guessed that fine dining was an overstatement and it was. The restaurant was marginally ok; menu was short; prices were a bit excessive; service was weak; decor was mid century beat up.
We guessed all this going in but wanted to be close to the center of the park and also see the Inn. We only stayed two nights.

Super convenient, old west town hotel with a nice restaurant and grounds. Friendly staff. Recommended for a few days in Death Valley, for sure.

The Location was amazing and one thing I liked the most about this hotel is name in itself. Apart from that rooms were decorated with beautiful flowers and bathroom area was awesome and loveable

The majestic location and property are amazing. I have not been to this hotel for over 15 years and there have been a lot renovations with the grounds. The restaurant had amazing staff and average food (it is in the middle of the desert!)The only disappointment was the hotel registration staff. When we arrived, our room was not ready and April was not helpful at all. We were about 15 min before check in time. When I returned after check in time , it was still not ready and she told me to come back in 20 min. So , the 3 rd trip to check in … . Room not ready. We had reserved a casita which was ver expensive so when I asked her what happens when the room is not ready when it should be , her response to me was “ We are patient” . Reminding myself I was there to relax, I decided to “be patient”. However, when I went back over an hour after the room was to be ready , and it still wasn’t , it was hard to “be patient”. Luckily, this time I got Claire and she was lovely . She had excellent customer service and got us our room. The next morning we were checking out and the gentleman was also not friendly. Also, no coffee in the morning bc it had not been refilled which for the price point should not occur.. Overall, beautiful place but management needs to train their employee’s in customer service. Or maybe they just can’t because it’s hard to get people to work in such a remote location.

I don't know much about the furnace Creek inn nor any other hotel in death valley but rather do have an old hometown friend who has been going to Death Valley for decades on vacation from Alaska and he seems to enjoy the couple of weeks each year in the warmth of California

What a stay! Old Hollywood glamorous. The food was excellent ,the bartenders as well. The pool is literally an oasis in the desert. Worth it on every level.

One of the worst experiences at the hotel. We waited for our food for 1 hour and when asked how much time the food will take. The server didn’t care enough and made us wait for another 30 mins. One of the worst experiences possible.

If you’re looking for luxury while visiting Death Valet National Park, The Inn at Death Valley is the only choice. Perfectly located as a central point for everything in the park. Beautiful grounds, rooms and restaurants. Peaceful with great views. The pool is wonderful in the hot temps of the area. Top notch and friendly service. Prices are a bit high but many choices in the park. Sister property with The Ranch down the road.

We visited shortly after the Hurricane game in October of ‘23. Not everything was open. Still a wonderful stage.

Stayed in a 1-bedroom casita for one night when visiting temporary Lake Manly. The room was clean, comfortable, and charming; each casita had a golf cart that could be used to traverse the property. The grounds were serene with meandering stone pathways linking benches overlooking ponds, fountains, and pastures. Kind and accommodating staff.

Prices were on par with what one might expect to pay to stay at a national park lodge, even on weekdays; however, the Inn is a convenient location for exploring Death Valley National Park, and the shuttle that runs between the Inn and the Ranch makes it easy to enjoy the amenities of both properties.

A limited number of EV chargers are available (Blink, first come first served), but may be out of service, so call ahead or check PlugShare to see their status before you visit, as the closest Tesla superchargers are in Beatty (48 mi), Lone Pine (106 mi), Baker (113 mi), or Ridgecrest (133 mi). We had no issues charging, but have a backup plan or plan to use a hybrid/gas car from the get-go.

You have to keep in mind where this place is. Based on that it probably rates 6 stars. The staff is terrific. The place lost power and everyone made the experience ok. The rooms are fine. The restaurant is pretty good The staff as I said is really really good. If you are going to Death Valley (and you should, it is nothing like you think) then just stay here. Book a few nights. Use the pool. The bartender is excellent. Enjoy the park. And be thankful that this oasis is even here. And book a tour with Farrabee's. Death-defying.

Great location!! Service could have been better. Needed to wait for checking in to the room even after the promised 4 pm check in time.

Terribly managed establishment. There's a line of more than 35 people trying to check in. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

This place does not have an Tesla charger as advertised nor accommodation plugs for EVs, be advised. They should state this on website so Tesla rentals do not actually go there to die like mine did. Next town is 35 miles away ($$$).

Pillows were dirty.
Buffet was old at 7pm, extremely limited to salad and soup even though it’s open to 9.
Restaurant needs reservation.

The General store is where you will end up eating cup of noodles for dinner.

Definitely a bathroom stop at most.

The location of the place would be enough but we found it all to be top shelf. If you are a swimmer you'll love the pool. The grounds are beautiful and are enough for a hike to see them all.

My husband and I stayed here over Valentine’s Day and we ended up getting upgraded to the casita - 10/10 recommend staying in a casita! The space was well appointed, very clean, and loved the separate living space, patio, and complimentary personal golf cart for us to get around the resort. We’re big on visiting and spending a lot of time in national parks hiking, trails, etc. so location was a 10/10 being that it was right in the park and close to a lot of the things we wanted to visit and see. The restaurants on site are not too shabby, seeing as they are some of the only options without having to go too far, but it is pricey for the quality of the food. The pool is gorgeous and natural spring fed, so it was a comfortable temp. The gym is a little small but has what you need. Overall, we loved our stay and we would absolutely come back!
