Old borax extraction plant with an old boiler and a pair of large dump trucks hitched to a tank

It's not a must-see site, but it's interesting and quick to explore: get out of your car, walk for 5 minutes and you'll arrive in front of this former factory dating back to 1882. Today, all that remains are a few walls, an old boiler and a pair of large dump trucks hitched to a cistern. When they were founded, the site was used to extract borax, a mineral found near Furnance Creek Ranch - then known as Greenland. At their peak, they employed 40 workers.
