Spectacular road on the side of the mountain with an area of gullies and alluvial fans with various colors

This spectacular mountainside road leads to the Artists Palette, an area of gullies and alluvial fans where the colors are incredibly varied: from copper to purple to ochre and orange, it's as if a painter's palette were materializing before our eyes. The best time to go there is at the end of the day, when the setting sun gives the whole a warm hue. Count on twenty to thirty minutes.

Magnifiques couleurs
Lorsque nous avons commencé cette route, nous nous sommes arrêtés à un premier point de vue que nous pensions être la palette de l'artiste. C'est vous dire à quel point, tout est majestueux sur cette balade en voiture. Mais la palette de l'artiste viendra un peu plus loin sur le chemin, très colorée, sublime, vous ne pourrez pas la manquer.

Route qui serpente entre les différentes nuances de roches : du vert, du bleu, du rouge, du jaune, du violet. C'est juste magique. Et pour nous, la pluie s'y est même invités. Le contraste avec le ciel noir était juste splendide. La route est en sens unique et se situe entre Furnace Creek et Badwater Bassin. Environ 20 minutes de route (sans les pauses photos).

Exceptional colours, extraordinary rocks. There is a space where you can leave a stone in order to show we visited, the principe being that the climatic conditions very harsh in Death Valley will make disappear your passage!
