Overall I like the stay
Good place to stay in Eureka. We where welcomed by Danny and got a simple but clean room. A big plus was the ev charger that charged our car overnight and the good choice of restaurants for dinner.
Great place to stay while breezing through Eureka. Denny at the front desk was super accommodating and got me a last minute single room for a fair price where I could lay out with my touring bike. Only complaint was that the rooms need more lighting and I don’t think you can turn off the bathroom light. Otherwise pretty standard budget motel accommodations with a location that can’t be beat!
Squeaky clean. I loved the pristine bathroom and loving upkeep of this old place. It's not pretty, but it's safe, secure and clean. And the attached parking with security cameras made my life easier, even with having stairs to negotiate.
The older man in the office is very nice he keeps a close eye on the carport and keeps out unwanted traffic. If u have a problem just press zero and he'll deal with the problem immediately.
Stayed here with two others last minute due to fires and the proprietor was very nice and helpful checking in. The rooms were clean in terms of bed sheets and the shower had hot water and decent pressure, though the rooms are quite darkly lit and it could do with some new paint or cleaning as the white was a bit stained/peeled. My room also had no ac, but it seemed to be one of the last few not occupied and the others seemed to have it. Overall good in a pinch, would sleep there if stuck in this city again.
Based on other reviews we tried out the hotel, seeming optimistic. We got there and there wasn’t parking so the staff moved his car so we could park in his spot which was awesome! Before we went into our room, there was a guy walking around who didn’t seem to be staying there and that was worrying to us and the staff was talking to him but we didn’t stay for the end of that. Then when we went into the room we were shocked at the state it was in. The chairs were torn up, there was hair in the shower, and the windows were left open and so bugs came in. The rugs felt sticky so we had to keep our shoes on the whole time. Not to mention the blanket on the bed didn’t seem super clean. The sheets were clean but smelled like bleach and were extremely scratchy. When we went to shower in the morning the water pressure was nice, but there was a weird stain on the towel which was extremely gross. Overall our stay was not good. Although the man who checked us in was very friendly, it was gross, hot, stuffy, and uncomfortable.
Danny helped us and was the best and kindest host you could possibly get. Great service. We’ll rested for the rest remainder of our trip. Thanks Danny!
