UTAH TRANSIT AUTHORITY
It is the company that manages public transport for Salt Lake City, Davis and Weber Counties as well as Utah Valley, North Tooele Valley and Brigham City. All bus, train and tram lines (light rail) can be consulted on the Internet where you can also plan your itinerary. The bus and TRAX (tramway) ticket is free in the city centre.
UTA Bus: nearly 500 buses criss-cross the city and region, some of which benefit from hybrid technology. The most efficient bus is the MAX line which runs along 3500 South between 3300 South TRAX Station and Magna. You can buy your ticket on the bus.
TRAX: This local tramway operates every day from about 5:30 am to 11:30 pm (except Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day). There are three lines: blue line from the Salt Lake Central Station Intermodal Hub (600 West), red line from east to west from Courthouse Station to University of Utah, green line from the airport to Downtown. Purchase of transport tickets in the stations.
Ski Bus: Every day from December to April, the Transit Authority provides buses from downtown Salt Lake to the Snowbird/Alta, Solitude/Brighton and Ogden ski areas
