UTAH STATE CAPITOL
One of the best examples of the Renaissance Revival style in the U.S., the Utah seat of government in Salt Lake City.
Like the Capitol in Washington, this building is the seat of Utah's government. Built in 1915 of gray granite, it is one of the best examples of the Renaissance Revival style in the United States. In front of the east entrance, you'll see a sculpture honoring Chief Massasoit of the Wampanoga tribe, who welcomed the Pilgrim Fathers to Plymouth Rock, Massachusetts - on the East Coast. Of particular interest are the free guided tours held in the building Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm; not to be missed!
