DAN O'LAURIE MUSEUM
A small museum that essentially tells the history of the city and its region in Moab.
The museum was established in the 1950s when city leaders wanted to enhance Moab's heritage. In the mid-1980s, businessman and philanthropist Dan O'Laurie helped fund and build the current museum building, which bears his name. As a result, this place essentially tells the history of the city and its region. We go from the time of the dinosaurs, to that of the Indians and the pioneers, to the history of the mining industry and to geology. Temporary exhibitions are organized with a program available on Internet.
