Center that provides many brochures, books and maps to Capitol reef national park.
The Capitol Reef Visitor Center is located just off Highway 24, before the historic village of Fruita. The rangers are there to welcome you and give you information. Many brochures, books and maps. There are exhibits and a short slide show about the national park. A calendar of special events is posted. Free backcountry permits are available for sleeping outside the Fruita campground.
