The setting for John Ford's westerns, Monument Valley stretches as far as the eye can see between Arizona and Utah.
The visitor center is located next to The View hotel. Restaurant and small museum on site. In the parking lot, you'll find company stands offering excursions by Jeep or horseback. Hiking permits are available for Rainbow Bridge, the San Juan River and the Olijato region. Note that there is also a Welcome Center as you leave 163 towards the park entrance, where you can stop for information on the park and excursions.
