About 5 miles southwest of Page, this beautiful horseshoe-shaped meander of the Colorado River is one of the most impressive views of the river. From the edge of the bluff, a bird's eye view of the emerald waters awaits the visitor. Specifically, Horseshoe Bend is located at the southern edge of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, just a few hundred yards from the main road.once parked, it is only a fifteen minute walk to the viewpoint. An absolute must-see.

Le canyon est vertigineux à cet endroit. Vous surplombez à la verticale le "fer à cheval", superbe méandre du Colorado. Sensation forte garantie mais ne vous approcher pas trop près comme le font trop de touristes.
Visite préférable en fin de matinée; seulement 10' de marche. Garez vous sur le parking même s'il y a des voitures stationnées en bord de route; il y a toujours de la place vu que personne ne reste longtemps sur le site. L'accès est gratuit.
