PIONEER MUSEUM
Museum in the former Coconino County Hospital featuring exhibits related to the history of Flagstaff and northern Arizona
The Pioneer Museum is located in the former Coconino County Hospital. The building was built in 1908. It was used as a hospital until 1938. Exhibits reflect the history of Flagstaff and northern Arizona: ranching, logging, transportation and pioneer life. Festivals and events are held regularly at the site, such as the Wool and Fiber Festival (June), the Folk Festival (June) and the Heritage Festival (October). The museum was unfortunately closed in 2022 due to lack of staff.
