SLIDE ROCK STATE PARK
Huge natural slide located in Sedona, formed by the river flowing over smooth stones
Located in the hollow of Oak Creek Canyon and crossed by the Oak Creek River, this park is a popular destination known for its huge natural slide (25 meters long) and its swimming pools among the rocks. It is also home to nearly 300 apple trees planted in 1912 by Frank L. Pendley, a pioneer who installed an ingenious irrigation system here. The Pendley Homestead Trail leads to this orchard, the family home, historic farm equipment and vacation cabins built by Pendley in the 1930s. Camping and picnic sites.
