The hotel consists of two buildings: the main house, built in the late 1920s in a European style, where rooms are slightly less expensive, and a modern tower. This is one of Yokohama's most luxurious establishments. The river views from some rooms are superb. The common areas are very elegant, especially the lounges with their large wooden windows and fireplaces. Since its opening in 1927, the hotel has witnessed the history of the port city of Yokohama.
