Located in Sanzenin, this is the oldest temple in the surrounding area, but also the main attraction of Ohara. It is famous for its th century Amida room. The room, restored in 1148, houses the statue of Amida sculpted by Sōzu Eshin. The ceiling remains famous for its technical choice. It looks like the tail of a ship spilled and thus puts the statue in value. She is accompanied by his two companions, Kannon and Seichi. At the ceiling, the twenty-five bosatsus are now invisible, probably deteriorated by encens smoke.
