Founded in the 8th century, the Kurama-Dera Temple is very popular with the Japanese because of the many occult mysteries and events surrounding it. The beauty of the site also makes it a privileged destination. Located in the heart of secluded nature, at the base of Kurama Mountain, it is accessible by a funicular (¥200 one way). One can then go back down to Kibune thanks to a hiking trail whose starting point is behind the main building of the temple. It takes one hour to reach Kibune.
