The Zen temple of the Secte-Shū sect was raised by Ingen (1592-1673), which respecta the Ming architecture during construction from 1661 to 1669. At the time of the fall of the Ming Empire in front of the Mandchous, the great Zen monk Ingen left southern China and regained Nagasaki in 1654. By the support of the emperor, the emperor withdrew Go-Mizuno and the shōgun Ietsuna Tokugawa built Mampuku-ji temple. Not only was the temple built in the Ming style with the help of particularly dedicated faithful, but the successive abbots were all Chinese until the th century. Although the temple follows the principles of building the Zen temple according to an axis, the Ming style was developed in all ornaments and details, for example in the choice of red red color and accessories such as railings, Chinese lanterns, etc.
