Temple of the Healing Buddha, it was built in 747 by Empress Kōmyō as offering to the Buddha for allowing the healing of the sick eye of his husband, Emperor Shōmu. It has become one of the general districts of the sect Hossō-shū. The main hall had become the dining hall because it had been struck by lightning. The roof is still filled with oni-gawara tiles (démons tiles ready to look and dessinées to scare bad spirits). In the Hon. Dō, the statue of Yakushi Nyorai dating from the th century will be noted. Yakushi Nyorai is surrounded by twelve guards of guards, 1,60 metres tall, on earth and covered with lime. They were originally painted with the gold leaf, but this color has now disappeared.
