ISUIAN GARDEN
This elegant garden covers an area of 11,000m2. The first part dates from the Edo period, and was designed for a wealthy merchant. The rear of the garden invites you to stroll through a variety of landscapes, and offers a magnificent view of the south gate of Tōdai-ji and of Mount Wakakusa and Mount Kasuga in the background. Between the front and back of the garden, a teahouse and restaurant serves traditional dishes and sweets. The Neiraku Museum, located in the garden, exhibits Chinese bronze objects and ceramics from the Korean Yi dynasty.
