Since 1703, this danjiri parade, these wooden floats pulled by euphoric festival-goers in an unrestrained atmosphere, has been taking place.
Since 1703, in Kishiwada (neighboring city of Ōsaka), the parade of danjiri, wooden floats bearing the colors of the various districts of the city, pulled by festival-goers at full speed in a crazy and fascinating atmosphere, has been held. The parade takes place around the castle. Numerous stalls for food and drink are set up all around. Other danjiri festivals are held in other parts of Japan at this time, but the one in Kishiwada is the most remarkable.
