The temple, founded by Prince Shōtoku Taishi in 592, is dedicated to the Guardians of the Four Directions. Through the gate Chū-mon you can reach the inner courtyard where the 5-storey pagoda rises(Gojūnotō). To the north are the Kon-dō buildings and the Kō-dō. The temple treasury contains weapons from Shōtoku, fans and fabrics from the Heian period. The park houses the Municipal Museum of Fine Arts (Shiritsu Bijutsukan). The museum includes a dōgu statuette from the period jōmon. The Keitaku Garden, built and designed in 1908, is located to the east of the museum.

Temple particulier car il possède 5 étages. Malheureusement l'entrée est payante. Mais vous pouvez tout de même admirer le temple de l'exterieur.
