Opened in 1936, the museum is located in Tennoji Park. It houses almost 8,000 works, some of which are classified as Important Cultural Properties. Its collections focus on Chinese and Japanese art. Visitors can contemplate, for example, prints by the famous Hokusai, as well as Chinese Buddha statues and nihonga paintings by well-known local artists. The museum reopened in March 2025 after renovation.
