Not far from the lively Umeda, this picturesque district, which miraculously escaped the bombing during the Second World War, is full of tiny lanes in which the stroller can find many small shops and cafés of all kinds set up in old buildings. Budding artists run some of these establishments. Some alleys are quite narrow and sometimes dead-end. The atmosphere of this neighbourhood is very pleasant and one takes pleasure in looking for a place to sit and have a good time.
