SHINSEKAI
Shinsekai literally means "the new world". The neighbourhood developed in the 1900s, taking Paris and New York as models. The Tsutenkaku Tower, at 103 meters high, is like the little sister of the Eiffel Tower. The whole has given the district a cosmopolitan and lively atmosphere, sometimes a little offbeat and above all timeless. In the evening, at nightfall, the signs of the kushikatsu restaurants light up. Specialties of Ōsaka, these skewers of meat, seafood and fried vegetables can be found on every street corner.
