If you go a little further away from the big shopping mall of Shinsaibashi, not far from Dotonburi, you discover this trendy and trendy district. America Mura, literally "the American village", is often referred to as Harajuku's little brother at Tōkyō. A plethora of fashion boutiques, cafes and bars occupy the streets of the neighborhood. The atmosphere is definitely young and relaxed. And even if shopping is the number one motivation, America Mura is a very pleasant place for a late afternoon stroll and a drink.
