This residence was built by Mutō Sanji in 1907, in a very European style. After his death, the building was taken over by the company Kanegabuchi Boseki as a social center and was renamed the Kanebo Maiko Club. In 2007, the company gave the building and all its furniture to the Hyōgo prefecture. A short visit allows to discover the western way of life from the Japanese perspective, at the time Meiji.
