Built nearly 500 years ago by the Ataka family, the castle was under the rule of the Miyoshi clan before falling under the power of Hideyoshi. Its role was most important, as it protected the bay of Ōsaka. Today only ruins remain, on which the replica of a tower was rebuilt in 1928. It is the oldest replica in Japan. The climb is worth the detour. From the top, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the surroundings.
