Close to JR Himeji station, here is a very convenient kaiten sushi restaurant to eat before taking the train. The plates are on a conveyor belt where you can serve yourself directly. A mini-Ipad is also available on each table to place an order by selecting the desired dishes from the menu (available in English). The sushi ordered will arrive on a shinkansen train! Very amusing.
