Situated west of the castle and Koko-en garden, in a quiet street, Wabisuke is a nice restaurant known to locals, not so much to travelers. Once the door is pushed, you enter a typical Japanese restaurant, in a machiya, with the coffee tables and the ground hollowed out to slide your legs. The establishment serves very copious sets for lunch, mainly featuring seafood. The sets, with drinks, are also often accompanied by soba. You can taste theanago, this salt water eel.
